Established in 1882, Brillantmont is one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland, owned by the same family for five generations. Located in the centre of Lausanne, five minutes from the school, the school is in the heart of the French-speaking area of Switzerland. Brillantmont has around 100 students, with two thirds as boarders, aged 13–18, from over 35 different nationalities.
Students study in the British Programme to prepare for the IGCSE and A-Level or the American Programme (American High School Diploma). All teaching is in English, but every student must learn French, the local language. At Brillantmont, class sizes are small, averaging 15. Students participate in various sports such as Tennis, basketball, trampolining, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, zumba, running circuits, unihockey; Banana boat, stand-up paddle or windsurfing. During Winter, students can opt for skiing during weekends.
